Armored Waterfare is a free-to-play multiplayer shooter game featuring combat vehicles from the 1950s through to the present day and offers player versus environment and player versus player gameplay. It is currently in open beta and features hugely dangerous battlefields, fire and heavily-armed tanks. Players can take charge of the most formidable armoured vehicles in the world and can collaborate with others to complete the toughest missions imaginable. The game utilises CryENGINE 3 technology to provide hugely-authentic gameplay and visuals.

Players must use the most sophisticated and intelligent tactics to obtain victory, with battle taking place in deserts, tundras, oil refineries, ports and more. The action takes place in the near-future, in the 2030s where various economic and political events have led to military organisations being privatised and economies being built on war. The player assumes the role of a mercenary instructed by a private company, and is able to customise vehicles via upgrades and retrofits that impact on how the vehicles behave. There are five vehicle classes available including main battle tanks of MBTs, armoured fighting vehicles or AFVs, tank destroyers, light tanks and artillery from weapon dealers. Players can also unlock additional vehicles and equipment as they make their way through the game and can add emblems to their vehicles as well as paints and patterns.
